Fulham Palace, established 704 A.D.

Fulham Palace served as the residence for the Bishop of London for 12 Centuries and was finally vacated in 1975.  Located on Bishops Avenue, London, SW6 (nearest tube: Putney Bridge).  Currently managed jointly by the Fulham Palace Trust and the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and owned by the Church of England.  The 13 acre site offers a museum, historical buildings, a cafe, library and extensive botanical gardens.

 More information at www.fulhampalace.org.  Tours are available.  Cafe is open from 9-5 (summer) or 10-4 (winter) for breakfast, lunch or tea.  Reservations available.
