RAF Museum

Located on the site of the former Hendon Aerodrome, the RAF Museum was opened in 1972 by Her Majesty the Queen.  Located in Colindale, this North London Museum is London’s only attraction to house over 100 aircraft from around the world including some very early aircraft designs through to the latest modern day jets and military aircraft.

Admission is free.  Activities include a 4D Cinema (cost applies) and an emotive and uplifting sound and light show “Our Finest Hour”.  The museum offers an entertaining and educational day out for all the family – just 30 minutes from central London. There is much to see including a life-sized model of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter jet – the only place in the world where it is on display, a Vickers Wellington, an Avro Lancaster S-Sugar and a Typhoon.  There are also flight simulator ‘rides’ (fee applies).
